Description :

PALS is intended for healthcare professionals who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units that encounter pediatric patients on a regular basis. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion eCard, valid for two years. To become certified you must pass the skills and a written exam in class with a 84%.

Card issuing process

Upon completing this class, you will be issued a PALS card from the American Heart Association within 24 - 48 hours. Your card should arrive in your email within 24 to 48 hours. Please call your instructor for any concerns at 404-620-1000.

Book

If you select the option for a E-Book, please allow 48 hours for the E-Book link to be emailed to you. Be sure to give yourself ample time to receive the E-Book and study before taking the class. Hard copy books can be purchased for $61. Arrangements can be made with instructor to pick up your book at the office. American Heart Association does require that students have access to a book to assist with the student learning. However, you are not required to purchase your book from Quick CPR, if you already have access to a current book.

After booking your course you will be emailed precourse work instructions to complete before class. There will be videos and literature for you to review in detail before you arrive to the class. You must pass the precourse assessments before you arrive to class. You must print a copy of the precourse exam results that you pass and bring a copy with you to class. You will not be able to take the class without completing and passing the precourse assessment and providing a copy of the results.

  3. Select “PALS Precourse Self-Assessment and Video Prework”, select “Launch This Course” to begin. 

Note: If you haven't already logged in, the system will ask you to do so. If you haven't visited the site before, you'll be prompted to set up an account.

 

If you need BLS recertification with your PALS you can do this after the PALS class is complete on the same day. Be prepared to stay a additional hour to complete BLS recertification. Book the BLS recertification with this PALS course, select the e-book option on the page and add BLS recertification. Please know that you will be taking BLS after your PALS class with this option.
